ONLY IN CALIFORNIA

just a cozy outfit for a day full of running errands. i'm so obsessed with this obnoxious metallic silver skirt but never seem to wear it as much as i'd like to. paired it with this slouchy sweater, tights, and ankle boots for warmth and comfort during this dreary rainy day... which then, magically turned into this phenomenal sunset out of nowhere. the tents in the backround house a traveling horse show of sorts called "cavalia"... still not too sure what it entails... my boyfriend and i agree that it's french horses doing interpretive dance.

okay, i have to stop slacking and help my boyfriend paint my apartment. i had bright turquoise walls and i'm going back to white... who AM i? thinking about tossing a neon pink wall into the mix... we'll see.

CRYSTALLIZED LOOKBOOK

one of my favorite shots from the CRYSTALLIZED mini lookbook shoot yesterday. the location is one of the prettiest places i've ever seen... can't believe it was less than an hour away from where i grew up. isn't it weird how you can go a lifetime without knowing something so amazing exists right around the corner? i can't wait to go back and shoot more photos here... i was sad to leave once the sun started to go down. a big part of me wanted to curl up in one of the vintage coats and sleep on the shoreline all night...

anyway, once i finish editing the rest, the entire lookbook will be up on the website! can't wait to share. :)

DRIVE AROUND THE LAKE

the day after christmas: it always feels a little sad to me. i guess i still haven't let go of being a kid and the feeling of the "magic" being over gets me every time. my christmas was perfectly spent with my family and my boyfriend's family. my boyfriend is taking me to catalina for a night sometime in the next week or two. i haven't been in years and can't wait to hop on a boat and spend the day feeling so far away from reality. we sort of escaped reality today when we decided to take a drive to the nearest lake. it was so desolate and deserted that we were able to dance around in the middle of the street taking these photos in gorgeous sunlight... pretty cold, but the views were breathtaking.

ROADTRIPPING THROUGH NOWHERE

*thrifted open knit cape cardigan, american apparel tank, vintage shorts, unearthen titanium quartz necklace, vintage vial necklace, UO tights, jeffrey campbell litas.

impromptu photos on our drive from southern california to central california for christmas with the fam. we spotted this crazy abandoned warehouse and trekked through mud and god-knows-what to get inside (hence the mud on the soles of my litas...) this is pretty much the extent of central california- vast open farmland and abandoned buildings... desolate and depressing but perfect for photos and epic sunsets.

AT THE GROVE

last minute christmas shopping with my boyfriend at the grove. do you ever have those days where you feel like you did something right when you got dressed? i felt super comfortable today and got an absurd amount of compliments on these tights- i LOVE these things and totally forgot i owned them until i pulled them out of my closet today. despite our shitty christmas gifting, it was a wonderful day full of misty rain and awful diner food.

LABOR OF LOVE

listings are up! i've literally only taken one day off in the past... well, i don't know, i lost track. 15 hour days have been standard for me lately, and i can't begin to tell you how relieved i am to finally see the fruits of my labor! please check out CRYSTALLIZED VINTAGE, i have and will continue to put all of my love into it- i already have big semi-near future plans involving designing my own pieces! it's all so exciting and so exhausting, but i hope that you like. :)
