yeah, i quoted ben folds five. what are you gonna do about it? that song was the JAM in elementary school. oh those were the days...

came to the studio to try to get some work done today. it's proven to be a difficult task what with all the issues that keep popping up. trying to get the next set of crystallized auctions up and running because they are SOOO GOOOD.
so i have major issues with photographing myself for this here blog. i feel like a total moron if someone sees me posing in front of a tripod. way back when i had a boyfriend, he was my personal photographer (which i'm realizing is how most of us bloggers do it)... and that was about a billion times easier than it is to not have a personal photographer. i was just having this conversation with madeline from jean greige last night over dinner (click the link to see what she wore to dinner, i'm IN LOVE with her mink pink lace-up top! and who the hell can pull off creepers THAT well? she is the cutest human being in existence)...
i'm hoping all of these silly little blogging issues will be solved once i get MY OWN STUDIO... which looks to be happening in the VERY NEAR future. so, expect to see more posts like this, against a wall. because my timid ass isn't going outside with a tripod anymore.

that was a whole lot of rambling. i HAVE to get back to work.
xx

I think the pictures look fantastic done with the tripod. And the pattern of that vintage/diy cut top is truly mesmerizing!

I only love everything you have on. Your boots are too darn cute. I'm headed over to nine west now. Hope I find those boots or something like them.

Only one of my looks has ever been taken by someone else, and I still really don't like how the photo came out, because they didn't take multiple shots or anything. I still want them to take pictures for me, but they're enthusiastic at one point, then reluctant the next. I just take pictures out in the woods and use a certain tree to prop my camera up. It's just a lot easier for everyone that way, I guess. (Actually, I like the idea of using an actual tripod...)

Your photos look awesome, though. I mean, really. I struggle to look that relaxed and natural in my pictures. You look great. ♥

(Gah, had a typeo in that last comment. Sorry!)

I tried on those shorts in H&M in off white and oh my god they did not do me any favours. Hadn't seen that they had them in camel. I might give them a shot now!
