day two in san diego. woke up at 7am and it was so overcast and foggy but a few hours later cleared up into this beautiful day pictured above. i love when days start off cold and cloudy- makes me feel like i'm at the beach even when i'm not. we planned on surfing early in the morning, but ended up driving around to different beaches until 12pm and getting brunch at the smallest little cafe in the extremely desolate imperial beach (the closest city next to the mexican border, according to some locals). we drove up and down the "silver strand" which is actually really crazy- it's a little island strip with a single row of track houses that have the ocean surrounding the front AND back of them. if you continue on the silver strand, you end up in coronado, which is apparently one of the most expensive places in the united states to live. everything in this little town is PRISTINE- including the beaches. another way to get to coronado is over the INSANE bridge in the photos above... it literally looked like something out of a sci fi movie. i could keep talking about all the crazy little places we went... but i'll stop here. how about the "rules" for an all-you-can-eat sushi buffet? we laughed like crazy at the thought of the waiters telling someone that they can't leave until they finish all of their rice.
as for the outfit, i've been looking for the perfect pair of light-wash denim bell bottoms forfuckingever and found these vintage babies for 25 bucks. they fit PERFECTLY... buying vintage never fails me. worn with a ridiculously weird/cool vintage triangle hooded cardigan thing, jeffrey campbell nation ankle boots, urban outfitters tie dyed silk scarf worn as a top, and vintage bag. i was super comfy all morning, then became horribly uncomfortable in a wetsuit (god, i miss hawaii's 86 degree ocean water!), then finished off the day with crazy saltwater hair in a ridiculously perfect vintage leather jacket i found at a local consignment shop, which will be in tomorrow's outfit post, concluding the san diego adventure...
so much work this week- that's what i get for taking the weekend off!

Love the outfit, didn't even assume the top was a scarf.
I've been to Coronado before, stayed on the island because San Diego always feels a bit hectic to me. They have a great "hotel" there, but they seem more like week-stay apartments. Very cute. It's right next to a bike rental place and about 2 blocks from the Coronado hotel (giant white hotel) if you ever want to check it out while you're there!

Stunning shots...you look so beautiful!
I always love visiting San Diego. The way you transformed the UO scarf into a top looks fantastic.

bahaha seriously what would they do if you didn't finish your rice? like barricade the door so you can't leave or give you a time out? that's so crazy. ugh & I'm still lusting over your bag.. you should probably never take it off. xx
