*open knit tank from garment district, DIY tie dye cut-off shorts (used to be purple wrangler jeans), abalone and silver ring purchased in mexico (thanks momma!), vintage belt, vintage sandals (the only pair i own, i've worn them all over the world and they're one of my favorite things that i own), bag from urban outfitters (i'm obsessed with all of the pockets- organization while traveling is key), unearthen vial necklace, handmade wooden necklace purchased in mexico.
uploading a blog post here is pretty excruciating- the internet is painfully slow and nearly impossible to use.
we (me, my mom, and my mom's best friend christie, who generously lets us use her timeshare) explored downtown cabo san lucas today... the highlight DEFINITELY being having an iguana on my head. i used to have a pet iguana, so holding one again was so amazing- i might be getting one of my own again because i love them so much!
i keep forgetting that i'm in mexico because it is so similar to southern california. the open air market we went to was nearly identical to the garment district in downtown los angeles- i even have some of the same brand of mexican bags that they sell here. my boyfriend and i have been talking about taking a mexico trip for awhile now, down to guatemala... being in a tourist town is definitely making me want to visit more desolate areas.
ok, so most importantly: does anyone want me to bring them back some superviagra?
the pool is calling my name. adios!

head on over to my beautiful friend nicki's blog to check out UNEARTHEN'S resort lookbook! it'll take way too long for me to upload all the photos on my blog, so click here to view it via nicki.
the lookbook was so fun to shoot- we arrived at an aquarium store at 8am and spent the first hour running around trying to see all of the fish... it was such a brilliant idea, and it couldn't have turned out more beautiful.

Back in the late sixties and early seventies, my mother went down to Mexico all the time (including Cabo San Lucas) for various things: family vacations, getaways, drag races (she ended up on the cover of an issue for Sports Illustrated for one certain drag race going on down there; I used to know the year of issue date but it escapes me) and she even met the love of her life there. Needless to say, Mexico's kind of always sounded like California but even more amazing!
