yesterday was my 25th birthday party at my favorite (hard to get to) beach in malibu. i've got the most incredible friends in the whole world.

i jumped at the chance to do a collaboration with Billabong... what kind of california girl would i be if i didn't? LOVE the fringe detail on the shoulders... check out the site for more cool threads, namely their collaboration with alexandra cassaniti! i was so stoked to see that- unearthen (jewelry company i work for) used to share a studio space with her last year, so i was always around all of her perfect surf gear, wanting everything in sight. if you've never heard of her, you should totally check her out too.

first things first- i have the most incredible best friend/business partner in the entire world. madeline bought me these vagabond boots that i've been drooling over for months for my upcoming birthday! i literally don't ever want to take them off... they're the most comfortable shoes that i've ever worn- they're somehow more comfortable than flats!? she's the best gift-giver ever, totally better than a boyfriend. i love the hoop de doo out of you, madeline!

i'm wearing a shit ton of stuff from our upcoming shop TUNNEL VISION. we've been going non-stop, and it's all turning out a billion times better than expected. we now have our very own pattern maker/tailor, so our own designs will be coming into fruition very soon... it's a dream come true. can not wait to show you guys!!!

kerouac died 42 years ago today. he changed my life. i read his books during the most beautiful parts of my life- in airports, hostels, boats, hammocks, beaches, bedrooms, alone in restaurants, airplanes, parks, curbs outside of grocery stores, halfway across the world... jack kerouac lived life exactly how it should be lived.
