okay, so i suck at minimalism and i look drunk in that picture. moving on...
my eyes almost fell out of my head when i opened up the package that Caryn at Lucky Vintage sent me. it included this belt and a tan leather cropped halter top... it's magic. i need to wait until the weather stops sucking in LA to bust that one out because it deserves to be worn in sunshine. she always finds the best vintage and if you want in on it, check out her etsy!
i just got back from spending three days in the desert at the desert daze festival. the bands were out of control. OUT OF CONTROL. watch the videos below if you're interested in some seriously killer music.
cosmonauts. favorite band, hands down. there aren't any good live recordings on youtube, but these kids are so talented and put on such an insane show that it makes my head spin. they are like spacemen 3 and jesus and mary chain had alien punk rock babies. if you can find their record, BUY IT and then try to see them live while on acid. i am very serious.
of course, dead meadow. i will never get enough of this band for as long as i live. they were perfect as always.
crooked cowboy is a trip. they all sit down while playing- the girl wore a floor length prairie dress and the guy in a huge cowboy hat with his head always down so you could never see his face. it was creepy and amazing and i've never seen anything like it.
last but not least, the entrance band. they're definitely an LA favorite and have earned it. everyone i know fucking loves this band- i don't know why anyone wouldn't. also, this video is RAD.
