I'VE LIVED ON A DIRT ROAD ALL MY LIFE

madeline and i end up on scary country roads in towns with a population of 30 (not joking) when we source for Tunnel Vision. shortly before these photos were taken, madeline was scared of driving over a trip wire resulting in disabling our car and being taken hostage by a serial killer truck driver. we survived, and found some kick ass jewelry on top of it.
i was more than pleased to unexpectedly receive this perfect tank in the mail from the kind people over at Lamb and Flag. basically my entire wardrobe is just turning into different tie dyed techniques on the exact same silhouettes. i can't believe people actually read/look at my blog due to me only ever wearing shorts + tank top + boots... ever. i actually went to a wedding last night and had to dust spiderwebs off one of the VERY FEW dresses that i own, and i wore it with the above motorcycle boots and jacket because i would probably drop dead before actually looking like a girl. C'est la vie.

when madeline opened up a package at my house that Sea from lightsdrivemysoul had sent her, i immediately swooped in and claimed one of the two shirts for myself. since i haven't announced it publicly yet (only with madeline while we scroll through her blog making noises similar to if explanation points could talk), i am in LOVE with Sea. i even suggested madeline email her to coerce her into modeling for the next Tunnel Vision look book. if you don't know of her blog, you NEED to. she also makes these gorgeous shirts for sale on her Facebook page, Sea of Style. she looks like a real life mermaid and it's fucking AWESOME.
a variation of these Tunnel Vision shorts and the boots will be available on the next update... happening in just a few more days. i'm currently out of commission with a bag of frozen broccoli on my neck enduring the worst migraine i've had in months, but hopefully i'll be back to normal soon and capable of working. remember, TV Facebook fans get a 50% off code on the first day...

NUDE

wore this out to a bar last night... and then again today... because i was too lazy to change. the top was once this dress, but i somehow always find myself frantically cutting and dying things before leaving my house, so this salmon colored top is the end result. i've realized that i must always keep bleach in my house for moments like that.
the shell necklace... oh, the shell necklace. i'll refrain from typing a full paragraph confessing my undying love for it. things could get real weird real fast.
i'm delirious. running on two hours of sleep. need to face plant in some food.

JUST KIDS
sitting here with mascara stains on my cheeks, trying to come back to reality after reading the most heartbreakingly beautiful story that is Just Kids. i haven't been able to get through a book in months, and i've been incapable of pulling myself off of my couch for the past two days until i finished the last word. i haven't been inspired and impacted by something this strongly in a very long time, and it's greatly overdue. i found it necessary to recommend this as publicly as i could, as i think it's a life changer. patti smith and robert mapplethorpe epitomize love and art in a way that i've always dreamed of, and being able to experience it through her words was unexplainable. just read it. don't wear mascara.
